YouTube Live (unlisted)

This webinar will begin with short presentations from our panellists, followed by an open Q&A where attendees can put their own questions to the panel.

Run in collaboration with the Piscopia initiative, our speakers will share their experiences with barriers to applying for and completing a Maths PhD as an underrepresented gender, how mentorship and community have influenced their academic journeys, and what departmental change looks like - or should look like - to improve representation. This session is aimed at prospective applicants who consdier may not see many people like themselves in the field and want to hear directly from those who have navigated that experience.
