This webinar is being run in collaboration with Q.E.D Network

This webinar will begin with short presentations from our panellists, followed by an open Q&A where attendees can put their own questions to the panel.

Our speakers will share their experiences as queer researchers navigating a mathematics research, including navigating research spaces, finding supportive communities and networks (such as QED), and what departments can do - or have done - to foster a welcoming environment for individuals of all identities public or private. This session is aimed at prospective and current LGBTQ+ PhD students or researchers who want to hear honestly about queer experiences in academia or those who want to learn how they can better support their LGBTQ+ colleagues.
